Late last night,
I lay in bed,
Reading stories in my head.
Is that true of you?
Do you jump out of bed and write them down straight from your head?
or do you just lay on and forget and in the morning, be full of regret?
Oh dear, me too.
Could it be the writer or poets curse,
To get up at night to write down a wee verse,
that just won't seem to go away, unless
it's written down straight away.
be well Agman.

ReplyDeleteAgman-
ReplyDeleteIt is rare for me to jump out of bed and write the story down. I do keep a pad next to my bed- but usually I am so entertained I just enjoy the show and fall into my dreams.

To fall into your dreams is not a bad way to go, thank you for your visit be well Agman
DeleteMuch to my wife's chagrin, I always keep a notebook by the bed. That's not so bad; it's when I turn the light on at 3am to start jotting that she gets upset. She's a bit touchy that way.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit, be well. Agman.
Deletelol, my friend, if I'm in bed sleeping and wake up I only pray that I'll remember. Any other time I have notepads everywhere.
ReplyDeleteSeems to be the way,be well.
DeleteAgman.
I’m sad to say it doesn’t happen to me – or if it does I forget before the morning!
ReplyDeleteDon't be sad, just remember those sweet feet.
DeleteJust for you we have made prints of our feet,
So you can remember us when we were so small and soooo sweet.
So here's a print of our feet, so tiny and small for you to hang upon your wall, and remember, be well agman
A poem just for me - thank you Agman! I will cherish your words.
DeleteI was sure I'd commented on this before .... I did like this post as it is something I can relate to so well!!
