Golf is just a game

Dear Cuz.

Golf is just a game.

I have cousin Michael and he loves to play this game.

But he has a wee temper that sometimes spoils his aim,

When he hits a bad shot, he jumps up and down, screaming and a swearing and shouting and smashing his stick  upon the ground.
He doesn't care who is standing near he just swears and shout's out loud,
"Oh Hell I hate this game, I missed that shot and I practised it and practised it such a bloody lot and still it let me down, maybe it's that bloody ball, it just can't be truly round."

One day the preacher joined him for a round and really was surprised, when Michael started screaming, then swearing and swinging his stick around, and shouting at his ball for not being round.
"Bloody hell! I missed that shot, It is a bloody shame, I practised it and practised it and still I missed again" I hate this bloody game."

The Preacher called to Michael " Michael! please stop your swearing or the Lord will strike you down, he does't like you swearing when-ever he's around."
Michael said "he was sorry for his outburst, but he get's so upset when a ball he hits goes astray,
let's go ahead and play and have a pleasant day."

The next hole went quite well, until a two foot put stayed out.
But Michael had blown his top again,
and started screaming out and swearing and winging his stick about, then he  started to shout,
"Oh Hell! I missed that bloody shot again, I practised it and practised it, such a bloody lot, bugger it , I feel so let down, that bloody ball just can't be round."

The Preacher stepped forward and raised his arm up high and said
"I warned you Michael, now here comes the lords wrath from the sky".

The thunder crashed and the lightening flashed and a thunder bolt shot down, Michael he stepped back and the Preacher was struck down.
The whole world seemed to pause and a voice rang out from up high.

"Oh Shit! I hit the Preacher, Oh Hell I missed that shot and I practised It and practised It, for such a bloody lot and still I missed that shot.
I blame that Michael Donnelly for the whole bloody lot!"

Hi cuz just a small request, don't stand beside me at the pearly gates okay, I'm in enough trouble with the man upstairs.
 Cuz Terence.

An American Novelist

Louise May Alcott.

Born : Nov 28th 1832.
Died : March 6th 1888.

I'm sure you will all know of this lady, or at least remember one of her many books.
"Little Women" which is still highly rated as a young girls book.
But not a lot is known about her ability to write poetry, beautiful poetry, by the way.
Please let me give you a taste of her writing skills, remembering of course, she worked, was involved in the civil war as a nurse, and at the same time wrote stories, poetry, all in pencil and ink( no laptop)

Fairy Song:

The moonlight fades from the flowers and trees and the Stars
dim one by one.
The tale is told and the song is sung, and the Fairies feast is done.

The night-wind rocks the sleeping flowers and sings to them
soft and low.
The early bird will soon awake,
It's time for the Fairies to go.

Over the sleeping earth we silently pass unseen by mortal eyes,
and send sweet dreams as we lightly float through the quite
moonlit sky.
For the stars soft eyes alone may see and the flowers alone may know.
The feast we hold, the tales we tell, so it's time
for the Fairies to go.

This is all I have of this so far, if I get hold of more I'll post it,
Why you ask?  because I think it's as good as it gets and she should be remember on the 6th of this month, when she departed this old world and took her talent with her.
When I read her "Fairy song" it makes me hold my breath, how cools that.
